Tolar Miles, author with flair for all things southern, releases second novel with TouchPoint Press

PANAMA CITY BEACH, FL, OCTOBER 14, 2014—Tolar Miles, Florida-based author who entertained readers with a nostalgic look at the charm of the South in her debut novel Mud Marbles, has done it again with her second title, Delta.

Readers of Mud Marbles will remember Delta, a distant cousin of the Drake family who comes to visit Cotton Tree from Savannah, Georgia for most family gatherings. She loves her bourbon and cola and livens up the atmosphere of every social event she attends. Boring would never be a word used to describe Delta Bulloch and her friends.

As soon as Delta hears of a possible murder, the memorable road trips begin. During Delta’s adventures, there are a few people who would prefer she disappear. Delta manages to maintain her southern wit and charm through it all.

Readers will be introduced to the handsome Calvin Sherman, from New Orleans who Delta refers to as “The Devil.” Miss Mincy, who is possibly the most loved character from the book Mud Marbles, makes a few appearances and gives her advice as Delta visits her family in Cotton Tree, Alabama.

As active members of Savannah’s Garden Club, Delta and Betsey keep things lively at the monthly meetings, and, like most southern households, hospitality abounds. Delta’s hospitality extends beyond the cocktail shaker. She has help with her hospitality as she frequents the famous River Street Sweets® of Savannah, Georgia. Her son Mason has labeled River Street Sweets® as the best candy store in the whole wide world.

The author invites readers to join Delta, Maelynn, and Betsey as they travel through the historic cities of Savannah, New Orleans, and all the way down to Key West, where Delta and Maelynn jump ship onto another adventure.

Delta is available in paperback and as an ebook, available through major retailers including Amazon, Barnes and Noble, Books-a-Million, iTunes, and more.
